Remove Windows 10, 8 And 8.1 Built-In Apps Using PowerShell Crack With License Code Latest

The ISO installation files for Windows 10, 8, and 8.1 come with a predefined configuration and a set of built-in apps that are deployed together with the operating system. However, it's highly probable that you don't need all the Windows Store applications embedded into the disk image. Removing all or some of them is possible using a simple script included in the Remove Windows 10, 8 and 8.1 Built-In Apps Using PowerShell package.
The script is designed to help power users get rid of all or selected apps that come preinstalled with Windows and create a customized copy of the WIM image (included in the ISO setup file) that can be deployed on any machine afterward using a dedicated solution.
Before starting, keep in mind that this script cannot be used with an ISO file. Instead, you must take the time to extract the ISO image with a dedicated solution (e.g. WinRAR) to a location on your PC and navigate to the "sources" folder, where the install.wim file should be located. This is the WIM image that should be used with the Powershell script.
The WIM image is mounted automatically when launching the script. The latter can be started using just the path of the WIM image as a parameter (".\removeapps.ps1 -pathtowim …\install.wim"), which instructs it to automatically delete all the built-in apps in the image file. If you want more control, you can use "-selectapps $true", which configures the script to prompt you for confirmation before deleting a Store app. No matter your choice, the Windows image is dismounted at the end, and the temporary files are removed. The new customized WIM image is then ready for use.

Remove Windows 10, 8 And 8.1 Built-In Apps Using PowerShell [Win/Mac] [Latest 2022]

Removes all or selected Windows Store apps that are pre-installed in the ISO image.
Warning: This script requires a full set of Powershell skills, and it’s very unlikely to work for novice users or an average PC. Use at your own risk.

Running the Script

You can run the script directly on a WIM ISO image by navigating to its path and typing the following command:

C:\Windows\install.wim -pathtowim C:\Path\to\WIM\ISO\image.wim -uninstall -selectapps $true

More PowerShell information:
PowerShell can be used to delete Windows 10, 8, and 8.1 apps in a WIM file. To do that, you must start a PowerShell-based installation session of the ISO image using the following command:

The Customized WIM image is dismounted automatically at the end. The PowerShell script checks for existence of the parameters specified in the line -uninstall, which represents the path where a WIM image should be mounted. If this parameter is not present, the latter is assumed to be not mounted.

The PowerShell script requires three arguments: the path of the WIM image and two parameters named -uninstall and -selectapps, which are mandatory.

-uninstall represents the path where a WIM image should be mounted. If the parameter is not specified, the default path is assumed.

-selectapps controls whether an installation confirmation prompt will be shown before deleting a given app from the WIM image. If the parameter is omitted, it will not be displayed, and the script will start deleting all the apps from the image.

Note: the -uninstall parameter can be omitted only if the second parameter is specified (as done in the line -pathtowim).

Remove Windows 10, 8, and 8.1 Built-In Apps Using PowerShell
This script will remove the default apps installed on Windows 10, 8, and 8.1. Keep in mind that you will not be able to recover the default apps after removing them.
Use this script at your own risk. See the Troubleshooting section in the help file for help in troubleshooting issues.
This script was tested using an ISO image of Windows 10 build 10240. Unlike other scripts that have been posted in other forums, this script is made to work using ISO files. Unlike the Redistributable/Uninstaller script, you must extract the WIM file from the ISO file to a location on your PC where you can navigate to the “sources” folder, where the install.wim should be located. If you extract the WIM file to a directory on the Desktop, please note that you need to change the path of the command line with the -pathtowim parameter, so that the script will find the correct WIM file inside the ISO file.
Parameters:
-pathtowim
Specifies the location of the install.wim file.
-selectapps
Changes the behavior of the script to prompt you if you want to remove an application. Default: -selectapps $false.
-overwriteWIM
Overwrites the existing install.wim file instead of creating a new one. Default: -overwriteWIM $false.
Usage: removeapps.ps1 [-pathtowim.\install.wim] [-selectapps] [-overwriteWIM]
Notes:
Useful for power users who want to customize an ISO file.
The script will prompt you if you need to remove an app (default $false).

Input and output arguments
*******************************************************************************************
The script has two main input arguments:
1. Path to the WIM image.
2. Select the apps to remove.
To select the apps to remove, the user can enter an app’s name or its entire name (e.g. “Microsoft.Office.Outlook.exe”) and press Enter.
In addition, users can enter “*”, which will cause the script to remove all the apps.
Alternatively, the user can select individual apps by entering a 0-indexed array of app names and pressing Enter. For example,
Enter the app you wish to remove: Microsoft.Windows.Calculator.exe
Do you want to remove ALL apps? [y/n] y
Removing the first selected app from the list of built-in apps
Removing the second selected app from the list of built-in apps
The script can output to the standard output in two modes: “direct” (prints the result to the console) or “notify” (an email is sent with the result). In the first mode, it is also possible to indicate the success or failure of the operation.
I have tested the script with some minor issues, such as “apps located on the E: drive” or the exclusion of non-built-in-apps from the selection. However, this seems to be a very small issue, and I would suggest you to give it a try and let me know if you encounter any other issues.
While the script is already updated to handle some issues related to removal of apps located on the E: drive, I would suggest you to not forget to include my contact details to enhance the script’s support. You can find my contact details in the script file included with the download. I
