Simple to use. Just click on a button, and be shown the video-size and bitrates in a nice table. Of course FitCD can also export selected video-segments to a number of popular image-formats for you.

You can also drag the desired start-time/segment-end-time directly from Windows Media Player or Final Cut Pro, choose a destination for the EXIF, and then transfer the image-segments to FitCD for further processing.

FitCD is really easy to use. On the main page of FitCD, you just click on ‘Resize’ to start. Then choose a destination for the EXIF, and click on a button to start processing the files. A short and nice window shows you the resulting video-size and bitrates.

FitCD is open source, and written in Python and C. You can download the sourcecode and try it out yourself.

You are very welcome to use FitCD. I will be happy if you report bugs or feature requests on the FitCD issues list.

Thanks for using FitCD. All your feedback will be sent to the issues list and to me directly.

Sips (v 0.3.2)

Sips is an easy-to-use tool to encode DVD files. It uses SMPTE-compliant HDV specifications.

Sips Description:

Sips is an easy-to-use tool to encode DVD files. It uses SMPTE-compliant HDV specifications. It supports multi-language menus with various levels of embedded subtitles, and has a built-in resizer (based on ffmpeg) for super-easy file-size calculation. The final file size is specified so that it will fit under a given space. Moreover, Sips enables you to output different versions of the same file: for NTSC, PAL and SECAM. It also supports to encode/transcode to and from XDCAM for HDV.

Sips is free software, licensed under GNU GPL, available at It is released under a permissive BSD-style license. Feel free to use it for personal, non-commercial projects. Please send bugs and feature requests to the issues list at

It is written in python using the setuptools module. It requires

FitCD [Win/Mac] [Updated] 2022

A tool to calculate the size of digital video data (S)VCD’s, how to set certain images in block usage and what is the best size for a certain type of data.
It is also possible to convert any image to fit the S.VCD/VCD-ROM standard of data-format.
The quality of the output is the best and optimal for S.VCD’s.
FitCD Supports:
The standard, popular compression formats:
MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4 Part 2, H.264/AVC.

Libmpeg2 is an implementation of the H.264/AVC decoding library libx264, and H.264 encoding library libx264rgb.
Libmpeg2 is based on mpeg4/libavcodec, however it differs from the Ffmpeg code base in many details, and there are a number of differences in the interface to the AVCodec framework.
Some examples of differences include:
– Libmpeg2 has no support for the Context Adaptive

What’s New In FitCD?

FitCD is a simple open-source utility for calculating (S)VCDs and DVD sizes with exact precision. You can calculate size and bitrate on the fly.
FitCD contains a small but useful tool for calculating the exact size of a VCD or DVD and setting up either a real SMPTE or an ISO compliant V-Burn DVD.
FitCD produces an output (SUX) script, which the user can then use with avisynth to resize.
FitCD is very small, clean and easy-to-use. It is not an all-in-one player, but a tool that you can use to calculate VCD, SVCD and DVD size easily.
Features:
* It calculates size for VCD, SVCD and DVD (*)
* It calculates the exact file size of the resulting file (*)
* It calculates size/bitrate to a fraction of a percent (*)
* The script file produced by FitCD can be used with avisynth to resize a source file (*)
* It allows you to calculate two sample resolutions and two different sample rates for VCD/SVCD (*)
* You can enter the desired file and the two sample resolutions/rates to be used (*)
* It will calculate the file size and bitrate to a fraction of a percent (+)
* You can specify the source file, destination file, sample resolution, and sample rate (+)
* It calculates file size with and without resampling on-the-fly (*)
* Determines the exact file-size, including with multi-layered files (+)
* Calculates the size of a video or audio file (*)
* Calculates the maximum allowable bitrate for (S)VCD or DVD (+)
* The script file produced by FitCD can be used with avisynth to resize a source file (+)
* The program produces an output (SUX) script file, which you can use with avisynth to resize (+)
* It can optionally calculate the size of SECTORS per TRACK, as well as SEGMENTS and AUDIO frames (+)
* It allows you to determine the exact disk size for (S)VCD or DVD (+)
* You can copy the program to a CD/DVD to burn it (+)
* You can burn (S)VCDs or DVDs with the file size exactly calculated (+)
* You
