What's more important is the fact that your Windows registry keys will remain intact. The interface of the program is simplistic and familiar to the one of Media Player Classic. Media files can be imported by using either the file browser or "drag and drop" method. Batch selection is not possible. So, you can use basic media player functions like pause, navigate back and forth within the clip, switch to full screen mode and adjust the volume. Plus, you can change the aspect ratio. The simplistic media player runs on a moderate amount of system resources, supports several keyboard shortcuts, has a good response time and didn't freeze, crash or pop up errors during our tests. There is no help file available but that's because Portable MP4 Player is easy to work with. However, there are no advanced features available. For example, you cannot create a playlist or make image adjustments (e.g. brightness, contrast, saturation), let alone configure program settings (e.g. enable Portable MP4 Player to automatically turn off the computer after playback, to stay on top of other applications or to minimize to the system tray). Also, we weren't able to switch to full screen mode (Portable MP4 Player seems to have some compatibility issues with Wi`ndows 7).
