The combat system of Tarnished is a free-action role-playing game. The heroine of this game, Izuna Mai, will fight alongside her party members.
It is possible to make the actions of your party members become easy or hard, depending on your actions. In addition to the strength, speed, HP and magic of your party members, you can upgrade your weapons and armor by collecting items called Rings.
When the stage gets difficult, you can participate in various battles by forming a party with your favorite character. A new character who possesses unique characteristics is unlocked when you obtain the necessary Rings.

When you participate in these battles, the results are decided based on your character’s strength and the items that you use. The higher level the battle gets, the more effects are included, which can lead to a fierce battle.
In addition to the battle system, Tarnished also has a large number of items that help you in a wide variety of situations, such as items for strengthening your character or improving the effects of other items, items that boost your character’s offense or defense.
