For example, with an initial frequency of 5% of the homozygous phenotype, the model predicts it takes up to 9 generations to reach the final 5% frequency, even though the final frequency remains at about 13.5% ([Figure 2a](#fig2){ref-type=”fig”}). The model is able to model such cases, when one considers<\/p>\n
