No gastrointestinal or cutaneous other cancers have been observed during the follow-up. Dysplasia recurrence has been observed in 60% of the cases; among them, five patients presented also synchronous adenocarcinoma. The development of Barrett’s adenocarcinoma was observed in 62.5% of the cases with only one lesion. In conclusion, we think that endoscopic laser resection for dysplasia is safe, effective, and a good therapeutic option for the control of dysplasia with reasonable results. It does not entail an excessive incidence of neoplastic progression or of second tumors.
