\u201cWe\u2019ve done what we\u2019ve done with FIFA because we\u2019re football fans,\u201d said Julian Murdock, Head of Pro Licensing at EA. \u201cThe team responsible for FIFA in our company really are football fans. And so when we look at the game, and we look at the technologies we\u2019ve built, we don\u2019t just want to make a football video game. We want to make a football game that we would play ourselves. And that\u2019s why we\u2019ve taken what we\u2019ve learned from how we make a football video game, whether it\u2019s a goalkeeper stance or what a running animation will look like, and applied that to the gameplay part of the game.\u201d\n\u201cAs we develop the video game part, we\u2019re focused on making sure we get the gameplay of a real football game into the game,\u201d Murdock added. \u201cAnd because we\u2019re a football fan, we know what makes a football match feel good.\u201d\nThe analysis of the data showed changes within the game engine that were determined to make in-game player models feel more lifelike.\nFIFA 22 features an overhauled controls system with a tighter passing mechanic, improved game passing mechanics, better controls and the ability to do on-the-fly switches of players, which allows players to skip the press up and run off of the ball to help create more speed. Three-on-three gameplay is also returning, which gives a new tactical aspect to the game.\nFIFA 22 also introduces a brand-new \u201cAI Revolution\u201d in terms of how the algorithm that\u2019s used to power the AI players.\u201cWe looked at what other video games have done and how they\u2019ve done AI, and we see AI as the creative tool that can really make any game,\u201d said James Mather, Head of Sports at EA. \u201cWe\u2019ve tried to put in layers and layers of intelligence. Just take a look at our demo. We have an AI controller on top of the game that\u2019s in charge of a lot of the decision-making for our AI players. It\u2019s got a cool story where the game is reacting to the player. But we\u2019re really taking the AI in a different direction. What we\u2019ve done is we\u2019ve taken what<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
