    I’m creating a cross-platform project in C# with Xamarin.iOS and Xamarin.Android, where the MainPage is a ViewModel (and also the root page). I want to implement a feature where when the user clicks a button on my app they are presented with a view, that can be navigated away from via a close button. When the button is pressed and the view opens I am already doing the following:

    If you have a ViewModel with a property IsNavigationInProgress, you could check this on that property and only fire off your Close.Click if it is not in progress.

When you navigate to another page, set a property in your model, and in the second view, check if that is valid before dismissing it.<\/p>\n
