    Yea if you are ever gonna make a new fantasy game, try for something more ambitious than a new edition of the incredibly dated fantasy game Dragon Quest. This game is a DOA(dead on arrival). It’s an awesome idea, but it’s just a middling game due to the horrendous execution. The combat is way too easy, particularly if you use auto-leveling. I’m not a huge fan of the plot either. Some of my favorite JRPG’s in the genre have some of the most atrocious plots, and an endearing way of playing. This one is alright, but ultimately fails to do anything new that you couldn’t do with either of the other two RPG’s. Instead of creating an awesome world for you to roam around in, it feels like it’s done solely to justify the empty, boring plot. To add insult to injury, the exception being the well-paced intro, the combat is boring, repetitive, and lacks nuance. My other two favorite part of any RPG were made so much better by this game. As for the classes, there’s only two viable ones. The rest are either awful or boring filler. So what’s the point? Why would I spend 100 hours in this game? why would any other new RPG fans want to play this? Nothing about this game does it for me. The fantasy world is dull, boring, and uninspired, and the combat is repetitive, boring, and uninspired. There are plenty of other RPGs where you can unleash your inner superhero for example. The most interesting part of the game is the gameplay mechanics which set it apart from other RPGs. Specifically the legendary weapon, and the 2 system for leveling up. I will say there are some cute characters and combat systems, but they’re boring and lack any personality. Overall, this game is a huge disappointment. An outstanding idea, an even better looking game engine, and some great ideas about gameplay. However, it all gets botched in execution. Completely fail on every metric. Most of the game was fun, but the plot, combat, and story were all just plain terrible.<\/p>\n
