• Keep your bottom and top left layers the same size for a cohesive image. If you open an image in Photoshop, you will notice that it is resized to fill the entire canvas. While resizing a layer to fill the canvas will technically make the layer expand to fill the canvas, doing so will also extend the entire image.
• When you need to work in large images, such as images thousands of pixels wide, it is important that you start with a clean canvas. You should delete the background by selecting the Clear Background check box before you start manipulating your image. If the background is not already cleared, Photoshop will not work properly with the image as it will give an error message that it is not found.
• For a quick change in the size of an image without modifying the image size, you can simply select Edit > Free Transform. By doing so, you can easily adjust the image to resize the canvas without the image necessarily getting larger or smaller in size.
• If you are using a graphics tablet, it’s important to create your layer before actually using Photoshop. If you are using Photoshop to edit an image and you are working with a tablet, you will want to create the layers before you are using the tablet to move or resize the image.
• If you are using the tablet with a pen to resize the image, you can use the color picker to quickly select areas of the canvas.
• When you create a new layer in Photoshop, you are able to edit the layer by using a mask, or clipping path. A mask is a layer that allows you to control what portions of the layer are visible or not. It works a bit like a stencil.

How to use Photoshop
Before we begin Photoshop, we’ll cover the basics to help you understand Photoshop’s structure and features.
Folders
When you start a new Photoshop project, or open an existing one, you’ll notice that it’s divided into a number of different folders.
Images
This folder houses the image files (ie. your photos, illustrations, or other images). You can edit the images in this folder.
Layers
The layers folder houses the Layer groups (or groups). These are groups of pixels that you can easily modify, and combine in many different ways.
You can drag layers from one group to the next. Also, you can duplicate them, delete them or move them around. The name of the group is displayed in the left-hand column, and the top row of the layer consists of the name of the layer.
You can rename the layers by double clicking on the layer and changing the layer name.
If you select a group of images, they’ll be created with the settings from the last time you created a group.
Spaces (the Photoshop workspace)
The Photoshop workspace is where you work. It is divided into two panels: the canvas, where you’ll draw or paint, and the Layers panel.
The canvas
The canvas will be the area where you create your image, or draw. You can use it with the mouse, finger or graphics tablet. The Layers panel shows the groups in a hierarchy so that you can get to the layer you need.
The Photoshop canvas is divided in four sections:
Image Clipboard You’ll work on an image already present in the clipboard. Usually this is the screen shot you want to use for that part of your design.
The Layers panel You see the Layers panel at the bottom of the canvas. This panel is where you add, organize, work on layers, and edit your images.
Text You can easily place a text layer and rotate, resize and move it within the canvas.
Table You can create a table and place it in your image.

Ansible – Substitute variable inside YAML file with another variable
I have a python script that reads a /etc/ansible/hosts file and uses it to create an inventory file.

I then create the inventory file from the python script using the Ansible module with the following command:

But when I try to run my playbook, I get:
ERROR! Syntax Error while loading YAML

The error is that I think the variable “host” is read twice. I need it to be read when reading the ansible host inventory file.
How can I solve this?

Having checked the sources of ansible-inventory I don’t see why would I have any double variable.
