Getting Started with Photoshop CS6
Photoshop CS6 is a complete redesign from Photoshop CS5. Photoshop CS6 is a complete redesign from Photoshop CS5. The Photoshop CS6 user interface looks like a generic cross between a computer and a tablet. To get started, go to www.adobe.com/photoshop.

Most importantly, CS6 includes several new features to aid in photo editing. In order to get the most out of these new features, you’ll need a more powerful computer than CS5 was.
Take a look at the new features to consider how you’ll use them. To open your first document, click on the button in the toolbar that has the large gold Adobe symbol (Figure 1-14).
There are two options for opening a new document: Double-click or press the Enter key. The cursor will appear in a new, white, empty canvas. See the “Creating New Documents” section later in this chapter for more information.
Some of these features will be mentioned again in the following pages as you open additional documents.
**Note:** If you have Photoshop CS5, you can get CS6 updates for some of these features. However, you can open a document in CS6 and see the new features in action, even though you’re running a very old version of Photoshop.
New Features in Photoshop CS6
After the CS6 redesign, the Photoshop features are organized into eight main categories:
* **Basic Editing** – This group includes most editing features you’d expect, like the ability to select, copy, paste, correct exposure, crop, resize, rotate, and so on.
* **Tools** – Photoshop includes a large assortment of specialized tools used for specific purposes, including filters, effects, vector tools, and tools for drawing custom shapes, like circles, ellipses, and rectangles. The tools are organized into five main categories:

A prominent Montreal businessman has helped found a group that aims to create a new alternative currency to the Canadian dollar.
Hanna Al-Yousef founded the World Alternative Currency Association (WACA) in 2017. She says she’s not a big fan of the monetary system we have now and thinks something different could help global economic problems.
The goal of WACA is to get approval from the Bank of Canada and other financial regulators so it could issue its own currency. As an alternative to the standard money, it could also be used to store information, transfer money overseas and promote the local economy.
It aims to do this by a) eliminating the government’s monopoly on money creation and b) re-establishing the original ideas that led to the creation of the national currency: according to this theory, the government should issue currency only in exchange for a ‘fiat’ — which is understood to be any currency that is backed by a central bank — and any measure of gold or silver.
WACA’s currency proposal goes a step further than many bitcoin-style alternatives because it has a fixed exchange rate: as one of WACA’s supporters says, it’s based on the idea that a certain amount of natural resources is needed to maintain the economy.
“Once you take that out of the equation, there’s no longer the need to have a constant inflation rate, and it means you could have a currency that fluctuates with the economy, and it has more stability,” she says. “It also will keep inflation low.”

A cool edition of The Rolling Stones in their storied history, but that doesn’t mean it’s flawless. Since the first three albums have always been out of print, the best place to get them is from Amazon. Thus it’s very common to see the first three albums for under $20, but, ironically, the re-releases of the first three albums cost much more. For example, the release in 2000 that Sony gave was over $300; the digital re-release is $40! It’s also common to see the first three now have label replacements, but overall it’s good.
I really enjoyed reading the reviews because we are getting the same issues that people were saying about 5 or more years ago. The first 3 albums, “Some Girls” and “Undercover” are still out of print, although they do come out on some import cds now. “Goat’s Head Soup” is sold on DVD and Blu-ray, and “Bridges To Babylon” is the only release on vinyl, but anyplace that sells them still charges you more then the original.
There’s an excellent “Best Of” release called “The Rolling Stones Box Set”, which is the best way to go. Obviously if you don’t want the greatest hits, that’s the best thing to do, but it’s cheaper and has all of the great albums on one CD, instead of 6 separate ones. You get all of the great singles that fans would want for the perfect collection!Q:
