Photoshop Elements offers a different approach to image editing than Photoshop. Instead of Photoshop’s many layer overlays, Photoshop Elements uses layers. 1. With the image of the Hello World image you created in the previous exercise open, choose Image⇒Place, and click and drag to the new image in the New Image window.
2. Click the Layer icon at the bottom of the Layers panel to turn the picture into a new layer, as shown on the left in Figure 11-1. The message box reads that the image is now a new layer.
