We’ve been having a lot of problems with the taskbar applets not starting up properly (with the system tray, task manager, clock, etc.) for people on XP. This is a major problem, since we don’t have the luxury of installing a 2.0 fix until the summer release.
Here’s a hotfix that works for us. We’ve been working on it for the past few weeks, and it’s only an hour and a half of downloading. All you need to do is extract the archive using WinZip or similar utility.
We recommend reading the ReadMe file for the details.
We don’t guarantee this will work for everyone, but we guarantee that you’ll be a lot happier if it does work.
