In a lot of ways, Norse Mythology was less of a game, and more of a series of tabletop RPG products. They were rules books, a prologue, a GM guide, and actually a lot of the material from the first book also showed up in Pathfinder 1.5, in the form of the bundle called Orc Wars. WASHINGTON — With the clock ticking down to the deadline for a prospective deal with Iran, President Obama and his team have seized upon an optimistic new slogan: “A year from now, we are not going to have a nuclear Iran.”
In a speech at the United Nations General Assembly, Obama laid out a few highlights of the diplomatic effort with Iran that, he said, would lead to a global agreement to give up its nuclear weapons by the end of the year. He spoke of progress on the Joint Plan of Action (JPOA), the confidence-building measure that Iran signed with the United States and other world powers in November 2013. And he touched on possible incentives the United States might offer for a final deal with Iran on its nuclear program.
If the White House has something to be optimistic about, Iran’s foreign minister, Javad Zarif, also is more upbeat than he has been before. Speaking to reporters after the president’s speech, Zarif said the JPOA was “going in the right direction” and the United States “is ready to go the final mile.”
As the so-called P5+1 — the United States, Russia, China, Britain, France and Germany — and Iran continue to discuss a potential JPOA agreement, the terms of which are due to be finalized by the end of March, there is a large gap between the two sides on the specifics of the deal, and many differences remain unresolved. While the core framework of the deal is in place, there are a number of significant issues that need to be hammered out before an agreement can be reached.
One of the most contentious issues is how far the United States will go to get Iran to curb its nuclear program. The P5+1 wants an agreement that only restricts uranium enrichment to 20 percent fissile material, in exchange for releasing some frozen billions of dollars from Iran’s assets and ending certain international sanctions.
